Timetable and school schedule
SCHOOL HOURS
Our bilingual private schools in Clichy-Levallois and Bois-Colombes are open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Students have classes from Monday to Friday. Supervised homework sessions, led by teachers, take place at the end of the school day. From 5:30 PM, optional extracurricular activities begin. On Wednesdays, students in first grade (CP) and above have classes in the morning. A morning care service is available starting at 8:00 AM. During part of the school holidays, the schools remain open for extracurricular activities.
The class schedule is designed with a holistic approach that takes into account children’s natural rhythms. For instance, our students enjoy a real midday break, during which they can have lunch and then relax either within the school or outside.
PRIMARY SCHOOL SCHEDULE
In our schools, English instruction begins as early as kindergarten. Daily oral and written practice is provided by an English-speaking teacher in addition to the core instruction in French.
From second grade (CE1), students are immersed in English half of the time and follow the Cambridge program appropriate for their level. Their schedule is structured around rituals, individual or collaborative work, and group activities. Students are encouraged to work independently using personalized tools, as well as to collaborate with their peers. Alongside fundamental instruction in writing, reading, and arithmetic, students receive science education based on an investigative approach, partially taught by secondary school teachers. Time is also dedicated to philosophical and democratic discussions, as well as the exploration of the world and others (history, geography, arts). After their snack, students complete their homework under the supervision of a school teacher.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SCHEDULE
In middle school, classes begin at 9:00 AM to respect the natural rhythms of adolescents. Classes are held from Monday to Friday (including Wednesday mornings), for a total of approximately 30 hours per week (including supervised homework time). Subject-specific classes take place in rooms designed for collaborative work, allowing for occasional grouping across grade levels within a cycle (for example, fifth grade students with sixth graders, or seventh graders with eighth graders).
Students enjoy a real midday break, during which they can have lunch and relax either within the school or outside. At the end of the day, after a snack, students review their lessons and complete their homework under the supervision of a middle school teacher.
