School Visit and Family Interview

After completing the pre-registration form, you will receive a response within 10 days. If your child’s profile meets our criteria, a school visit and a family interview will be organized. The objective is to discuss the parents’ and the child’s motivations, their needs, your expectations, as well as ours.

For prospective kindergarten or first-grade students, an immersion session will be organized in groups of about six students.
For students from second grade (CE1) to middle school, a placement test will be administered in mathematics, French, and, where relevant, English.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE TUITION FEES USED FOR ?

iféa is an independent private school. This status allows it to offer an innovative pedagogical approach and environment, with teachers selected based on their alignment with our nurturing and demanding educational model. However, this also means that the school receives no state funding; it is entirely financed through tuition fees. These fees primarily cover staff salaries, operational costs, and equipping classrooms with suitable resources (digital boards, flexible furniture, teaching tools and materials, etc.).

CAN I RECEIVE ASSISTANCE TO REDUCE MY CHILD’S TUITION FEES ?

A tuition fee reduction system (iféa participation) is available at the school. The administration determines eligibility based on the parents’ income and family situation. However, due to budgetary constraints, the number of recipients is limited, and their tuition fees cannot be lower than €590 per month over 12 months.

I HAVE SEVERAL CHILDREN—IS THERE A DISCOUNT ON THEIR TUITION FEES ?

A 10% discount on tuition fees is applied starting with the second child enrolled.

HOW ARE TUITION FEES SCHEDULED ?

Tuition fees are divided into 12 installments, except for the first year of enrollment. In the first year, upon finalizing the child’s enrollment, the family makes an initial payment equivalent to two monthly installments of tuition fees. Then, from September to June, the family pays the monthly tuition fees.

WHAT TYPES OF MEALS ARE SERVED FOR LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA,  AND WHAT ABOUT SNACKS ?

Half-board students have lunch in the school’s cafeteria. At our Clichy school, they are offered a starter, a choice between two main courses (served by dedicated staff), bread, a dairy product, and a dessert. Meals are balanced, with 50% of the ingredients being organic or sourced from sustainable and local agriculture each day. Students sort their waste and put away their trays after their meal.
At our Bois-Colombes school, students bring a lunchbox, which is heated if necessary.
Students with food allergies must inform us during the enrollment process. Snacks, taken at the school during the break between the end of classes and the start of supervised homework, are provided by the parents.

CAN I DROP OFF MY CHILD BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS ?

A morning care service, included in the tuition fees, is offered to families of elementary students who need it. The service is available at the school entrance from 8:00 AM.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO KEEP MY CHILD AT SCHOOL AFTER SUPERVISED HOMEWORK ?

Families who wish to can enroll their children in the after-school activities offered by the school. These activities take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and are optional. Students go directly from the supervised homework sessions to the rooms where their activities are held. Optional activities are also offered on Wednesday afternoons. All activities are part of the iféa educational project aimed at fostering students’ well-being and growth.

DOES YOUR SCHOOL HAVE SPECIFIC SUPPORT FOR GIFTED CHILDREN?

Our school is particularly well-suited for gifted children. Our differentiated pedagogy and methods allow them to progress at their own pace, learn to manage their emotions, and freely express their imagination, curiosity, and creativity. In specific cases where students have disengaged from the traditional curriculum, we offer tailored programs for high-potential students experiencing school phobia, in partnership with specialized psychologists.

DOES YOUR SCHOOL WELCOME CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES?

Our pedagogy, based on differentiation, along with our trained teaching staff and adapted tools and materials, allows us to provide excellent support for children with learning disabilities who are already receiving medical follow-up. However, since our class sizes are kept small to facilitate students’ learning, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate all requests from families.

MY CHILD IS NOT BILINGUAL. CAN THEY JOIN YOUR SCHOOL?

It is not necessary to be proficient in English, or in French for expatriates, to enroll in our school. If needed, students will be offered a program that allows them to take additional English or French as a second language classes alongside their regular schedule.

WHAT ABOUT THE DIPLÔME NATIONAL DU BREVET ?

Students in our schools take the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB). The administration registers all ninth-grade students and handles the associated administrative procedures. In accordance with official guidelines, our “candidates […] take the four written exams common to all candidates [from state-approved schools], as well as an additional written exam in a foreign language” chosen by the candidate.
Our pass rate for the DNB has been 100% since the schools were founded, with most students receiving honors.

WHAT ABOUT THE DIPLÔME NATIONAL DU BREVET ?

Parents are supported throughout the entire orientation process after ninth grade, ensuring that students continue their studies at a high school that matches their profile and ambitions.
Our students typically join private high schools (either state-approved or independent), such as lycée Suger de Vaucresson (which belongs to the same education group as iféa), lycée Edgard Poe, lycée Pascal or lycée Diagonale
Depending on their profile, some students may also join international sections of public high schools, such as the lycée de Saint Germain en Laye or lycée Lucie Aubrac in Courbevoie.
